Black soot n muffler

I notice some black soot on back of
bumper. Put my finger in tail pipe and
came out black. Am I using the wrong
type of gas for my 2001 caddilac dis.
I've been using premium but manual
says regular. Is this my problem??

Try regular but a little soot on the tailpipe is normal. Does your car use oil?
