How much is a 1968 chevelle body and chassis worth

I have a 1968 chevelle ss sitting in my garage with no motor or transmission in
it and I'm considering selling it, but I don't know what it's worth. It has some rust
around the wheel well in the back passenger side, and the hood scoop needs
redone, but otherwise is in pretty decent shape. I know they are very valuable
when restored.

I would see if you have a local car club and ask them. nada lists low retail at $22,000 but that is a running car. Last though it's only worth what someone will pay.

If it is a real SS the value is more than other Chevelle's. Do you know what the original motor was? If it was a big block car the value is also more.

Yes, it is a real ss...it originally had the big block F_O_R......I have a 402 and 400 turbo tranny to put in it, but it needed a few modifications first that I never did to it. It's just been sitting in my shop about 10 yrs and I'm too old to do the work myself now. I have to move and am trying to decide what do do with it. I love that car but can only afford to rebuild it if I can sell my house, but am needing money now.
