Engine Gets So Hot

I have a 2006 Mercedes Benz R350, my problem is that after driving it for at least 3-5
miles, I have to pop-up the trunk because the engine gets too hot. Already flushed the
coolant. But it is still the same.  I bought this last year as a second hand thru a
dealership. Help.
