5.7 v8 says 17mpg highway, 4.7 v8 says 18. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymodel/2008_Jeep_Commander.shtml

Fuelly shows four 2008 Commanders that are in the 17-18 MPG range. Got to believe that most of those are highway miles. ---- http://www.fuelly.com/car/jeep/commander/2008
