Ok, when you look at the display, you see a cup something else, which looks like wheels, then two cars side by side, the left car has what looks like a lolly pop sign next to it and the other car to its right, changes color from white to green, from time to time. Hope that's been of help...

I personally rebuild an sl-500 for fun, replaced every single monitor and computer module the car has, so I assure you i am confident in finding an answer, what year may I ask?

sounds like it may be a kinda new version of the car with some sort of collision detection perhaps???

I believe the question is referring to part of the Driver Assist Package, so it must be a newer SL-Class. Specifically, the Active Lane Keeping Assist. When the icon depicting the rear of a Mercedes vehicle located between two parallel lines (traffic lines) is illuminated GREEN, it means that the Active Lane Keeping Assist is ON and active.

On the newer MB's - it is the lane keeping assist. It can be turned on or off thru the settings menu. If it has this option - it probably also has the "coffee cup" icon also. Which is to detect inactivity from the steering wheel - such as on a long stretch of Interstate highway.

Yes. I have that sign. But the green car now has been replaced by the cup coffee. But what means the sign : car with the lollypop?
