Aftermarket vs. OEM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2011 Hyundai Elantra with 145K miles. My
right front CV axle is showing clear signs that it's on
its way out. Nothing urgent though. Basically, I want
to replace it before it leaves me stranded.
My question is, considering CV axles are essential
to the drivetrain, should I buy OEM, used OEM, or
aftermarket?? My concern is quality.
However, I will be getting a new car in about 14
months, so it's not like I need the car to last me
another 5 years like it already has.
Thanks in advance!

OEM part,s only mean,s this is a part that the vehicle market place,s on the car when new,not that it is better in quality than and aftermarket part, most part,s are biult by the aftermarket company,s and branded with the OEM marking, the choice of part buying is upon the consumer as after market auto part,s fall in the same quality as most OEM part,s with a better price.
https://www.edmunds.com/car-care/aftermarket-versus- manufacturer-car-parts.html good article. I prefer OEM because half the aftermarket stuff is cheap chinese stuff that have little to no quality control. Even if its the same material "Steel", steel comes in different grades/hardnesses. Some things are worth the extra penny, especially if it could cause your car to bust going 60 on the highway. Don't be a scrooge with the critical components like tires, brakes, rotors, suspension, etc.
I have had very good luck with aftermarket parts but try to check reviews for feedback before buying.
