My airbag light has come on and stays on in my 2006 santa fe

My 2009 SantaFa dose the same thing and its the plug under my passenger seat comes loss so I muse plug back together. Works all the time

Mine also came on. Caused by a sensor shorting in the passenger side seat belt buckle. The mechanic called and said a replacement would cost ~$500!!! Insane. It looks like the Sonata had a similar issue, and Hyundia extended the warranty. I believe we should get the same. This is insane! The belt works, it is their sensor that failed. I am having the same exact problem right now and was wondering if Hyundai actually paid for it to be fixed or if you had to pay for it yourself? I was told $590 to fix it.
