3M Automotive Adhesive Problems

It does hold it just needs to be done right. First you need to clean both surfaces with wax/grease remover. Then you need to apply an adhesion promoter to the back of the grill along the area to be taped. You can pick this up at any local NAPA or body supply store. DO NOT apply promoter to painted surfaces! Once it's dry, apply tape and install.
Yea, i'm pretty sure the body shop didnt do any wax or grease removing...idk, some parts are sticking, and others are not. I'm kinda nervous about pulling it off and then trying to tape it all back again
If its pulling off, I'd say they didn't even wipe off the dirt. The key thing is, it needs to be clean. no dirt, dust, wax whatever. Get the adhesion promoter and follow the instructions. It's easy.
