Honda's backwards thinking for TPS systems
Honda thinks it is OK to punish people for buying there products.
If you own a Honda with TPS monitors and you change rims you must go to the dealer to get them reset. There will be a labour charge for this procedure.
In Canadian as well as northern states where you would use winter tires, as I do but my winter tires are on sperate rims so every time I switch I need to pay to put out the idiot light on the dash.
All other manufacturers use standard fare TPS systems and can be reset with a cost effective tool (not the $3000.00 I was quoted for necessary tools for Honda).
This is a simple software issue not hardware these systems should be self learning.
There is no cost to Honda to make these systems self learning in fact the Ridgeline and Pilot are, but Honda thinks they can just keep on punishing customers and there are no other solutions for anyone to buy.
Sorry Honda, Hyundai as well as other manufacturers are breathing down your neck and unless your attitude towards customer service issues like this changes other manufacturers are looking better all the time.
Long time loyal Honda customer feeling very betrayed by Hondas attitude in this matter.
