I have a 99 4c Honda accord ever 3-6 weeks the engine light comes on and when it does, the car randomly turns off. It will start up again and may turn off again.

Asked by hmota Jan 10, 2015 at 07:03 PM about the Honda Accord Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I will eventually get to where I'm going.
The last time engine light went on, it
started flashing.  I assume this indicates a
missfire but it was the first time it started
blinking. I pulled over for 10 minutes then
it stopped blinking and kept driving, the
next day the engine light was off and car
ran fine.  A year ago I replaced the break
booster.  Could this be it again?  Idk
anything about cars and i dnt want to get
ripped off when I take it in.... Please help

if your check engine light has been or is on, then there is a code stored in the computer. that code can give you an indication of what is wrong. Have the code scanned.

Could be your computer? Stalling in traffic is not good. You should check that out for your own safety.
