how much LESS will a nice exaust system help the cars performance if i don't replace all the tail piping before the muffler and the cat converter? Thank you!

It will depend on what your replacing, sounds like just the muffler. It might get you 2-3 hp maybe.

are you putting on a high flow cat? putting on a catback exhaust will give you maybe 5 hp. a full system might give you another 5.
