I'm thinking about getting an Injen Short Ram Intake for my GT, does anyone know if it sounds good or makes a noticeable difference in power/acceleration?

All aftermarket intake systems are going to make a noticeable sound difference but not necessarily a tangible horsepower gain. A short ram intake is going to be the worst possible thing for your engine. High temp intake air charge= loss of horsepower. That short ram is incapable of grabbing cool air to help in make hp. Instead, all its doing is getting a hold of all that hot air in the engine bay. Also, without a way for the gas to get out faster as well, you wont really find any or little difference. A well breathing engine gets air in and out as fast as plausible. If it were me, i would get a fenderwell intake with an inline bypass valve incase you submerge the filter in water. Thats your best bet to make power.

I'm kinda leanin more towards the sri cause i don't want to risk hydrolock. if i ran a tube from my bumper up to the intake to direct the air, would i get about the same HP as i would from a cai?

lmao cai leans towards torque and sri leans towards horsepower since tiburon already normally have a ton of torque just get the sri and u wont have to worry about anything i dunno what that guys talking about sri is the worst.

I got the injen cold air intake with a hydro sheild cover. it sounds good and makes it drive a lil better and get about 2 mpg more
