Seller forgot to sign Dmv transfer form

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I bought a car two days ago and both the
seller and I signed his copy, but he forgot to
sign my copy of vehicle transfer form. I have
no way of contacting him because cargurus
cut contact after the car was sold and he did
not leave his number. Do I forge or sign on
his behalf?

No, do not forge anything. Fill out what you can and contact your DMV office.

I just came back and I told them my situation and the DMV told me that I need an original signature. This problem could be easily solved if I can contact the seller, but cargurus doesn’t let me because I have already bought the car.
