Can you get the title on the same day that you
look at the car if you want to buy it?

If you deal face to face with a private seller that has the title.

Even if you do the transaction at the lenders office it is highly unlikely they will give you the title as they will wait for the check to clear. Since they are probably going to do the DMV paper work they will probably send everything in to the DMV for them to issue a title in your name rather than give you the signed over title.
