VIN

Depends on what you're using to run the VIN. Some systems just provide basic info on a VIN while others will provide specific info. If you're wanting to make sure it really is a Sport and you don't have your window sticker the best thing to do is have a dealer run your VIN and they can pull up all the sales codes on the vehicle. I've used various methods of running VINS and sometimes they don't even list the correct engine. Remember too, sometimes vehicles get ordered by the dealer with added or different options. So if you're using some site you found on Google to look up the VIN it probably wont have the additional options listed. If a dealer is looking it up make sure they are looking at the options codes and not just the basic info. I know about this because I've worked at dealerships for years and have ran VIN's more times than I can count.
It was run by valvoline when I got my oil changed and it came up as base. Took it to a mechanic shop and they ran it. It came back as base and he looked under the hood and said that from what he could tell, everything looks standard. Just want to get as much info and facts before I go after toyota
