Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I believe a dealership is using false advertising
to lure people in and then saying there was an
error on your site in the pricing. Is there
something that can be done? Isn’t that false
advertising? Don’t they have to honor their
advertised price? It is a 145 mile drive one
way to the dealership! Being told they are
sorry, you must have put the price in wrong
isn’t really what we wanted to hear.

The fine print says they are not responsible for errors, and the law pretty much backs that up. Many mistakes are unintentional. I always tell people check the dealerships website, not a 3rd party site like Cargurus, cars.com, truecar, etc... The most accurate data is always on the dealer website. A dealer cannot be responsible for what might appear on a website that they do not own
