why do listings outside my search area show up in the results?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I put in a zip code with a search radius and cars show up many many miles
away, far outside my search zone.  Searched for corvettes in the Raleigh NC
area and get listings from Albuquerque New Mexico....  Do you really think I am
going to buy a car 1,757 miles away???

Some of those listings might be sponsored so show up no matter where you are.
