How do I remove sold listings from my saved list?

Question type: General

I'm showing I have over 100 saved cars in my saved list but only 75 show up,
assuming that the 25 have been sold.  I used to be able to remove those sold
cars but not I don't seem to be able to.  Did CarGurus turned that function off?  I
can't see the cars again once they are sold so why not just autoremove them
from Saved lists?

I've had the same problem for weeks. There are quite a few threads scattered over the last year, indicating a systemic problem they haven't addressed. When I sent a complaint to Support, the reply I got back from a 'Luis' with CarGurus support said: 'Thanks for reaching out! We are aware of this technical issue, I have notified our developers of the discrepancy and they will be exploring this further. We apologize for the lag time in updating to the correct number and understand this can be confusing. As we continue to grow and develop our platform, we do rely on user feedback to drive improvements to the user experience.' I don't expect a prompt resolution to our problem.

Thanks burkian! I figured as much. It did work before so that’s frustrating. Since they are looking for user feedback, another annoying thing is when sending a message to a dealer, the site provides other suggestions. Those other suggestions have “Contact Dealer” button but no way to link to the car and check it out first. I accidentally hit contract dealer while trying to link to the suggestion without even being able to look at the car first. I love this site but other sites are catching up quickly and the great deals now are usually dealers from great neck NY just putting super low prices and adding $5-$6000 in dealer fees. Kind of defeats the purpose of this site. Starting to user autotrader and CARFAX more so CarGurus better fix the problems quickly. Internet companies only stay in business when they are able to quickly adjust.

The issue seems to be continuing. I had two listings saved. Both were sold or removed. I cannot get rid of "you have two saved listings".

Still Happening, you think they would have taken care of this? Should just be a few lines of code.

I've saved multiple trucks but when they are sold or removed, the save listing is still counted in the total of saved cars. Saved 7 but two have been sold/removed. Thus 5 of the 7 show in the saved category.

1 year and 5 months after the initial question, and CarGurus still haven't fixed the problem. Meanwhile, they buy advertising spots claiming they are the best place to shop for vehicles. Well, not for long if someone creates a functioning website.

Yup, still the same story. Cargurus was my favorite site and I’d use it for family and friends to find cars. It’s gotten so bad managing my lists that I don’t even use the site anymore. No one will buy ads if we no longer use the site. Maybe then a fix will be considered...?

2 years later this is still a problem… so much for the user feedback.

Yep same problem here, my saved list has become just as cluttered as the search list. I unclick the heart and it comes right back. Tried on phone and pc, same results. Their app is usable so I came back to the web version only to find they still have issues with it.... I can't comprehend how Cargurus can't put together an IT team for a couple of days to fix these issues. They clearly don't give a crap about their web or app usability. HOW!?!?!

Yup, I originally posted this almost five years ago. They have no F's to give. I've found TrueCar and Co-Pilot are better now.
