Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I have a loan on my car and been told that it would take a few weeks after I pay
it off to get the clear title.  How do I do this without having to wait that long?

I have bought a car with a lien on it. We met at the sellers lenders office and did the transaction there. This way I was assured that the loan was paid off and that the lender would take care of the DMV paperwork.
