The first thing to do is find out the cost to ship the vehicle to you. Then have the vehicle inspected by an independent inspection company. Since you are in California make sure the vehicle is CARB compliant, otherwise you won't be able to drive it in California. Agree on a price, send the seller a certified check, make arrangements for the vehicle to be picked up by a shipping company. The seller will either send you the title or it will be shipped with the vehicle, whichever you prefer. Js is right. You cannot import a 49 state car into Kalifornia. If it does not pass the smog check when you get it to the state you may have problem$ registering it. I would not buy any car out of state if you can avoid it.
