Close Fuel lid warning light wont shut off

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just picked up my SUV from the mechanic for an oil
change, and AC charge. But now the "close fuel lid" warning
is on and wont shut off. The lid is closed. But it almost
looks like  someone  tried to pry it open. It looks like it wont
close all the way, its not flush. Also when i hit the  button
the door no longer "pops" open. They said the mechanic
who worked on my car never  touched  it. It was fine when I
dropped it off.  Now its not. Im hoping its maybe either  a
bracket/spring  that broke or its bent and its a cheap easy
fix.
