I'm going to look at a 2004 Honda element one small area
of rust on the hood 107k miles looks good in and out I will
check underneath what else should I be aware of thanks

Under body rust at the suspension points . Surface rust is normal . Corroded brake/fuel lines , at that age brake lines are ready to pop . If you don't ride with the angels and if one goes do the rest or hail mary .

Brakes, tires, suspension, exhaust, etc. Anything you would look at with any another vehicle.
