Can I use the trans from my 2003 expedition 5.4 2v in my 1998 mustang gt

Trans in my 98 gt with a 4.6 went out. I have a
2003 expedition parts truck with a 5.4 2v. Truck is
2wd. Will that trans work in my 98 Mustang GT?

If your Mustang is automatic, it came with a 4R70W trans. The Expedition used the same transmission, I guess that is why you are asking. I'd check with a transmission expert on this one.

Probably not due to electronic incompatibility. But to be sure check the transmission numbers, if they match then it should be plug and play, if they don’t then it won’t work.
