How to Undo an Instant Offer In Process

Asked by scott Dec 03, 2022 at 11:14 PM

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I thought I was starting the process to list my car for sale but instead realized
half way through that I was filling in information for the CarGurus instant offer.
Now when I try to start over to list my car for sale it says I have an Active Offer
in process and only allows me to "pick up where you left off". I don't know how
to cancel that which was in midstream so that I can list my car.

This website is a piece of crap. Avoid like the plague! It fakes you out into getting a lowball offer from the site, then you cannot enter your own ad. I sold two cars on cargurus before they ruined the website. Pathetic.

I am stuck here and can't sell my car privately. it returns to a low offer page and force you to enter your information about the offer. I can't believe no one is fixing this funny issue or it might be part of their strategy.

That is pathetic that private sellers do not have a decent place to list their vehicles. Looks like a business opportunity for someone out there willing to take it on and take a large market share from car gurus. I listed cars on car gurus before and it was great. Too bad they hate private sellers now.
