Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Having issues with my wifes 99 f250.  The truck has been running poorly due to
a faulty idle air control valve. I changed this today, started the truck, it ran with a
small Idle burble, smoothed out, and seemed fine.  Revved it up, seemed fine,
turned it off.  My wife tried to start it about 30 minutes later, and all the truck
does is crank, acts like it has no fuel or spark.

Maybe the IAC sensor wasn't the problem . Are the plug wires worn out ? Does it have spark , did you check ? Let it sit and start it up let it idle and let us know

Did you clear the computer and reset the security system after the repairs were completed?

So, I let this truck sit overnight, and lo and behold, it started, albeit with some difficulty. it still surges a little and idles in a loping fashion, but far better since the install of the IAC sensor. However, after turning the truck off, it will only start again if the pedal is held to the floor. Just....damn this truck

Check fuel pressure and delivery, check for internal vacuum leaks, did you run the codes yet.
