Sporty city car that can also fit my wife & 2 kids, but also gets great mileage. Hybrid? Reccos?

I'm in the market for a new car - Something sporty, reliable, fun to drive, and can seat 2 adults and 2 kids comfortably. I
mostly drive around the city and need to park, so something smaller, easy to park, and that gets good city mileage is
important. Should I look at a hybrid? Any suggestions?
