you could but why would you, if you are low on money just go on line you can find cheap auto paint, better yet prep the whole car including primer and take the car to MAACO, But wait for a sale, check this out/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIj-74ouIss

If you don't have an automotive paint supplier near you try auto body shops, I've never known one that wouldn't sell paint to DIY'ers. A former Earl Schieb shop near me will even color match paint on their computer setup and sell you paint by the pint, quart, or gallon.
