Cylinder 8 miss fire

Asked by AliciaMarie3 Jan 27, 2017 at 10:13 AM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango v8 4.7 4 wheel
drive. My check engine light keeps coming
on and I have already replaced the ignition
coil and the spark plug. What would cause
the light to continue to come back on with a
cylinder 8 miss fire?

Possibly an issue with the wiring or the number 8 fuel injector could be faulty. You could swap the fuel injector with one from another cylinder and see if the miss moves. If it does the fuel injector is bad.
