Has anyone done any safety studies on the new LED headlights?

I have a safety concern. I am constantly being blinded by oncoming traffic and by trucks/SUVs that tailgate, Their headlights are reflected back at me by both the rear view mirror and side mirrors of my Jetta. It has been so bad, that I can't see the road in front of me and I'm forced to pull off the side of the road and allow them to pass.

Adjust your rear view mirror to the night setting which will help some. You could also adjust your side mirrors so that the full force of the headlights does not hit your eyes.

I do switch my rear view mirror to the night setting, but that does not help me when driving country roads in the dark with what feels like high beams aimed at me. I literally cannot see the road. I've asked other people, and they seem to have the same problem. How can the NTSB allow these headlights on the road. Are the drivers adjusting them to go high, or are they designed to light up everything for the next half mile?

I doubt the drivers are adjusting their light up to blind you. Have you tried flicking your brights to remind them to dim their lights? If you have night vision problems you may want to consult your optometrist.
