Engine swap 2002 5.9 magnum into a 2006 5.7 hemi

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 ram 1500 ram quad cab with a seized
motor, I also have a 2002 5.9 magnum from a 2500
standard cab. How much trouble to swap them out?

1 Answer

Not a good idea for a lot of reasons. The swap will not be smog legal and the ECU from the newer truck won't work with the old engine and the transmission in the newer truck won't work with the older ECU.
