What is your advice for a safe private sale?

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I am a woman selling a vehicle soon as a result of my CarGurus post.  I am a
bit nervous about meeting a stranger for the test drive and transaction.  Any
advice?

Meet at a safe place such as the front of a police station or other public place. Do the transaction at your bank or the DMV office. Take a friend!

You could ask for ID and meet in a public place. Go along on the ride but go with your gut feelings about people. Best to bring along a friend.
