Buying used car

I wanna buy a used car 2012 or newer.
Between $13,000-$16,000. Im really
interested in a BMW, mileage I usually find for
that year ranges from 55K-75K in my price
range. People keep telling me not to go with
BMW, I understand Honda and Toyota have
good reliability and last long, but shouldn’t a
BMW as well? If I’m gonna finance a car and
have high interest either way, I mine as well
go for a car I like and with more luxuries
correct?

Since you mentioned Mercedes, I found a 2013 Mercedes c250 sport around the same price, 23K miles... I’ll check them both out. The BMW I was looking at was a 2014 328i I think with 49K miles
