my car won't take the gas from the carburetor

just put a Holley carburetor on my 1968 Plymouth
Fury when you try to give the car gas it's not taking
it sounds terrible

Not sure what that means but before you adjust the carb you must set the timing correctly. Make sure the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points etc are all in good shape and that the timing is correct.

Also, sounds like the accelerator pump is not working or is out of adjustment. Hope that helps! Jim
