Does yours have a 4.0 inline 6cyl? 2.8 V-6 was in 86. Or do you have the 2.5 4cyl? the 87's were fuel injected. I would look at the hose that comes off fuel pump in tank. They loosen up and allow fuel to drain back. This is IF yous is an 87 model. 86 has fuel pump on side of engine.
