There's hundreds of difference's, but the main differences are probably the looks and the engines.

They are very different cars. The Murcielago is sort of the traditional "old school" Lamborghini that is still mostly handmade. It has the "traditional" Lamborghini V-12 and could be considered the descendant of the Countach via the Diablo. The Murcielago on the other hand is much more of a "corporate" design for Lamborghini from its owners Audi. It shares its frame with the Audi R8, but not the engine as the Audi has a V-8 and the Murcielago has a V-10. They are very different cars!

the Murcielago is a TRUE italian supercar thats why it costs 2-3 times as much as the Gallardo does, because they do make them IN Italy. the Gallardo on the other hand is made by Audi here in the US which explains some of the similarities(most obvious being the steering wheel and not having the vertical doors on it like the Murci, too wild for the US makers)

For one, they both have different styles... neither are the same but I think the murcielago has more of a old school look to it. Engines are different too I believe, one of them has a V10, whileas the other has a V12... either way, I couldn't afford one.
