Lexus charges $400 for a navigation CD update for an SC430. Is there a cheaper alternative?

The only possible solution would be to ask the Lexus dealer whom Lexus contracted to produce the navigation software for their systems. Update software may be available direct from the mfg. for less than dealer price. However, knowing which system you have is important, as often mfgs. will change suppliers mid-year if cheaper software becomes available.

I have a 2004 SC430 and i found a 2014 nav disk online for $10 and it works fine
