Is the NAV system in the 2006 LS430 the exact same as in the 2005 LS430?

Along the same line of your question about 06 vs 05, I am finding the DVD for both difficult to locate. Is it possible to use one for a different Lexus, maybe another 430? Or can anyone direct me to an update DVD for the 05-06 Lexus LS430? Please respond to ew_johnson@yahoo.com if you have an idea for me.

Any dealer should have a disc for you. The computer to remove the old and update with the new is in the truck on the right side under some plastic panels and carpeting

If it’s a no detection check on your nav DVD player, which is the trunk on the right side under the trunk carpet pad that you can pop out. If there is a dvd inside you may have to replace your player and if you replace the player it’s simple to replace and I would recommend replacing with a 05 or 06 player as these are more advanced. This is only if you have a 01 - 06 LS 430.
