My Lexus wont start it turns but won't start just a clicking sound.

It makes a clicking sound and it sounds like a fan is running under the hood.

sounds like the crank sensor has gone bad,causeing a no spark,or the fuel pump has failed,the fan you here running is the cooling fan running.when you turn the key switch on,not cranking it over,just on do you here a humming sound for a couple seconds from under car,if not fuel pump.
