life span of rear strut assembly 2003 es 300 w/one hundred 30 thousand miles

Struts fall into the category of "wearable parts" like brakes, wiper blades, tires, light bulbs- they WILL wear out- and how long they last depends on how hard they are used- if you live someplace where it rains all they time, your wiper blades will have to be replaced often- if you live in a city with stop and go driving, your brakes will need more attention- if you live down 10 miles of dirt road, your shocks/struts will wear out quicker- it is not a matter of mileage- but having said that, with 130,000 miles they are due to be replaced, if original- cars don't last forever
