This is a very widespread problem, and an obvious defect. My low mileage, always garaged RX had a cracked dash entirely around all edges and spreading toward the middle. It was just replaced at NO CHARGE TO ME at my dealership. The tech said it seems Lexus is going to take responsibility for these and claim them back against the Japanese manufacturer. I was one of 4 repairs on his desk that day. It is not a safety issue and probably never be a recall, but is a manufacturing defect. My success came after a complaint on the Lexus Facebook Page. Do it! My new dash is beautiful! Also, go to Lexus Dash Defects Facebook Page and see my old dash.
