year 01, not getting power when accelerating, had to put on blinkers and move to slow lane... after about 10 minutes, it seemed to power up/speed up just fine. Engine light and vcs lights are on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the engine light and vcs lights have come on periodically for a year, was told it was due to a pinhole leak in exhaust, so I'm thinking it's not related to the acceleration and low power when accelerating.

You need an OBDII scan, too much guesswork here. I can tell you Toyota and Lexus are notorious for the VSC and Trac light to come on whenever any DTC code is thrown. And probably not pinhole leak in exhaust, but rather EVAP. But still, that would not cause what you describe, but will light CEL. Really do need fault codes, some parts houses will scan it free
