It is the computer that controls just about everything in your engine from timing, fuel trim and much more using signals from 02 sensors, MAF, MAP, crank position sensor, cam position sensor, and more. It tells the injectors when to release fuel and how much, when the plugs fire

I gathered from your other question 1992, that is what these images are. Newer Lexus' (2000^) are under the seat

It is the main brain box for the car. In replacing it, it can fix many problems. Also disconnect battery cable to reset.
