Doors and beds

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a couple questions: I was told that doors from a 2003-2010 Mazda pickup should fit all b-models, B2300, B2500, B3000 and B4000.  Is that true and will Ranger doors from similar years also work.  I also need a new bed, but was told the Ranger beds would not align properly on the Mazda.  Can you confirm?  Will other Mazda beds work from a similar year range.  ie. 2007 Mazda B-3000 to a 2005 Mazda B-4000.  Thanks for any help.

The Mazda Pickups you listed ARE Ford Rangers with a Mazda badge.

All are the same truck with different badges and usually a better warranty! They are all one truck - interchangeable. Should you come across a Mazda Navajo - it's a Ford Explorer!

So....does that mean a ranger bed will fit? Just wondering why the guy at the dealership would tell me otherwise.

Now, there may be a difference in the body lines but a B2300, B2500, B3000 and B4000 are Ford Rangers. Now, I'm not a person that swaps many body parts but I do know that a reputable Auto Dismantler has reference books that can lay it out to you exactly - years, models etc.

As far as I know, the cab is the same for the two trucks, and the doors are interchangeable. The bed, if you change the entire thing, will interchange as well. Parts, though, won't, as the quarters and tailgate are different. As a unit, though, it will, as will the entire front clip. As a unit, you can change from one clip to the other, but the fenders, hood, bumper, and grill are different. The hard point mounting surfaces, though, are the same, as the Ranger and the B-series share a frame and inner structure. They were build on the same assembly line, too. As for the specific years, you want to look at a Hollander's Manual. It will tell you the interchangeability of the different parts.

this is about 3 and 1/2 years late but when changing parts on these vehicles they failed to mention that certain parts such as wiring harness are made by the dealer and are very expensive so when swithching make sure u have your ducks in a row because you will come to find out it is not as cheap as it sounds!
