I have a 2007 mazda premacy, lately it started showing the AT light and the Chheck engine light, what could be the issue?

After taking it to petrol station for an Automatic fluid level check, it was found to be a little bit low, since i imported it into Kenya in 2014 Nov, and had not changed it, i decided to have it drained and replaced with the normal shell helix ATF. Still the AT light is still on, as well as the check engine light.kindly advise what could be the problem

I hope you changed the trany filter also. As far as the AT light being on I suspect it was on to let you know that it was time for a trany fluid and filter change, just like it lets you know when it is time to change your engine oil. If you have an owners manual it would tell you how to reset the light. Another way to reset this would be to find a scanner which you are going to need anyway, that is capable in reading transmission codes, which all scanners are not capable to do this. You are going to need a good scanner to read the engine codes so you can find out why the check engine light is on. It would read any codes and give a number so you could look up to see what is the problem with the engine. A better scanner will have a code look up menu to let you know what the code number means. Once you fix the problem then you can reset the computer codes which then would turn off the check engine light.

First the transmition oil for mazdas is mv and not atf 5 or 4 .
