My benz wont catch gear

Left sunroof open it poured raining car wont shift gears got
someone to put it overdrive and still not catching gears, i
feel like I'm wasting my time and energy with the car

Dry it out for a few days and hope for the best. Try fans and a heater and put it into a garage if you can. My guess is the transmission control module got wet.
