My Grandpa gave me his old Porsche 912. The car is rusted and hasn't been on the road for decades.
1. The problem is I need to have a garage to store it and to rebuilt it.
2. I don't have $ to fix it.
3. I can't sell it.
4. I am not a Porsche person, but maybe I will.
5. I know it's gonna be cool if I rebuilt it in good condition and able to drive down the road, but it might takes years to see that happens......
Any suggestion on how should I face this "crisis" and not losing faith with grandpa....

Find a climate-controlled storage space to keep it in for now, that will cut down on the spread of rust. You may just have to think long, hard, and deep about keeping the car. Make a list of the pros and cons. Sure, it'll take lots of time and money, but it was your grandfather's Porsche. That car meant something to him. Think of the satisfaction and joy of firing it up and taking it down the road for the first time when it's done. I feel for you in your bind. I would fight tooth and nail to keep it. Talk to very close friends, your significant other, and any siblings. Overall, don't rush the decision. Sleep on it.
I just got my 74 back from a full "pro restoration", I thought it would cost about $15,000.00 when I dropped it off. I now have it back ...... $73,000.00 later. Give it back to grandpa. He knows what it will cost .... that;s why he gave it to you! If he doesn't want it ...... give it away or call a crusher. I'm a Vette person, if you aren't a Porshe fanatic, dump it & get a Corolla!
Well in defense of the car the 912 is not that expensive of a porsche to buy parts for. The motor is a Volkswagen motor for pete's sake. 912's are just the cheap version of the 911 w/o the fun parts. Unless you have a 912 with the flat six in it...then you may want to think things over.
I wouldn't sell the car. Seeing that you don't have the money to restore it now, it certaintly wouldn't hurt to hold onto it for a while. Five years ago I bought my 1965 Mustang and haven't had the time or the money to work on it, but I know that whenever I do get it done it will be completely worth it. I'm not really a Porsche person either but if I was given one I would definately make it worth my while.
Also look at the rust. If any goes through at the firewall, scrap it.
Never sell it, treat it like a watch which your grandpa pass it on to you. I am sure you will rebuilt it someday and then you can pass it on to your son and grandson. I wish I have a grandpa who can pass me even an old truck.
