Car won't start (for long(

Asked by ADrichards Jul 27, 2019 at 12:07 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving fine until I arrived at the gate of my house. I
stopped for a while but left the engine on. Then the engine
gradually starts to die. I started it again with difficulties, but
keeps on dieing without pumping the gas(acceleration).
What does that mean? What should I do? What's the
problem?
Please help, hopefully not spending much.
I still need the money for tuition hehe

You get any check engine lights? If so,plug in a ODB II scanner and pull the codes, cross reference them online by looking up the code. In my experience with my wife's Kia,it turned out to be a camshaft position sensor. There is also a crankshaft position sensor as well, hopefully the error codes were stored so you can narrow it down.
