What's wrong with VW 01M auto tranny?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought a 2000 VW Bora 2.0L AT (01M) with 85K kms. mileage.  Car doesn't move in D mode. It only
moves forward when you lightly step on the gas but with a strong and abrupt jerking motion. Problem
slightly disappears after 30 minutes of continuous driving.  Same jerky acceleration occurs when the car is
stationary/neutral or when you put it in D after reversing the car.  Please help.

check the fluid condition cause alot of problems accour only because of bad fluid which has not been changed for a long time ! i dont think torque converters go bad that easily because its main purpose is to provide intense amount of fluid and its very rigid
