Getting the glove box out and pushing out the clips that hold the plate around the gear stick was the trick, then there are a couple of screws that hold the panel in thats around the stereo, easy if you just get in and give it a go (i am a Kiwi!)

That's good to know thanks Perry. I am a kiwi also and have tried everything to get at my stereo as I need to install a band expander. I can reach from the glove box up but there isn't enough room for me to pull the aerial out.
