First I would pull every fuse and physically look @ each fuse. Just dont pull the ones that have to do with the engine but EVERY FUSE, these car manufacturers put items on fuses that tend to make u wonder "now why did they put ??? On the horn fuse?" Or some other odd fuse. Some of the maxi fuses protect a series of smaller fuses, some of the smaller fuses may have blown before the maxi fuse.
Thank you Peter I did just that after I had finished asking for help through this car guru site.I remembered more fuses when opening up the Glove box...checked those and an ignition 15 amp fuse was blown.I replaced that and wallah car burst back into life...happy chappy until battery light stays on.I seriously hope I am not replacing my alternator, hope that's an easy fix.
U may have blown the alternator, they r straight wired to the battery.
Very very thankful that that has not happened in my case but replaced 7 fuses,5 of those connected to major electrical car components...cheers and thanks Peter.
Glad it wasn't the alternator, fuses are way cheaper to buy and much easier to replace! Happy motoring!
